Digital Planet: Creatures of the Watery Abyss!

In this one week summer program, high school youth travelled (virtually) to the ocean floor to learn the secrets of bioluminescence. Youth toured behind-the-scenes of The Field Museum , met NAME Janet Voight, and created their own videos about ocean life. Watch their Digital Planet videos.

Mobile Planet

In this one week summer program, middle school youth explored the world of soil and the creatures that make their home in it. Youth used the program created location based games on Museum campus about soil. Games are available via the ARIS app; search for “mobile planet.”

Sound Planet

Sound Planet was an intensive one-week sound design workshop that investigated the field of Anthropology through the lens of music. In this program, teens explored how cultures around the world have created instruments and music that is reflective of their history and environment. Hear the youths’ sound stories.
