In botany today we were assigned to do something completely new today. As apposed to the normal day, which involves a lot of typing, georefrencing, and transcribing, today we got to take photographs of specimens. This was, in my opinion, the most fun thing we’ve done to date. We got to take these really old specimens and put them in light boxes which allowed us to take extremely clear photos of the plants. It was also really interesting working with the programs that allowed us to manipulate and document the photos. During the second half of the day today we finally began to seriously work on our game for the plant hall, and we managed to choose a narrative and a rough cast of characters and events. Hopefully we can make really good time, and have a rough draft by next Tuesday.
